Industrial Relational Institute

It was established in 1963 to provide training to the officers of Directorate of Labour Welfare, HR management of industries and trade union's representatives / workers. In 1975 its own building was completed in Muslim Town including hostel, auditorium and library. In 1992, the Directorate of Labour Welfare headquarters was shifted to IRI premises, in the building of Centre for Improvement of Working Condition and Environment.

Objective

The principal aim of IRI is to improve working environment in the industries of Punjab and provide training and advisory services on labour laws and welfare issues of workers.
